Tenuta Mazzolino Terrazze 2022

A fabulous red wine from the Oltrepò Pavese region in Lombardy. The vinification process involves classic maceration of fully ripe grapes, with temperature control to prevent fermentation temperatures from exceeding 28°C. After primary fermentation, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and subsequent cold stabilisation. It is aged for four months in stainless steel tanks and two months in bottle before release.

Tasting Notes: On the nose, it offers vinous, intensely fruity aromas with hints of violets, ripe cherry, and blackberry. The palate is full, soft, and pleasant, featuring flavours of ripe red fruits and a subtle spiciness.

Pairing: This wine pairs well with roast meats and hard cheeses, complementing its structure and flavour profile. Charcuterie, ham and other cold meats. Patés and terrines. Classic French dishes with light creamy sauces such as rabbit or kidneys with a mustard sauce, roast chicken, pigeon and lamb chops.
