McHenry Hohnen Vintners, located in the Margaret River region of Western Australia, is a winery founded by Murray McHenry, a successful hotelier who transitioned into winemaking, with a strong focus on sustainable, biodynamic practices and producing site-specific wines showcasing the unique character of the land. So much so, boasts some impressive wine scores, including 97s from Wine Advocate.
Jacopo Dalli Cani is the Head Winemaker at McHenry Hohnen. He is known for his Italian heritage, having grown up surrounded by vineyards in Soave, Italy, and for his focus on crafting single vineyard wines with minimal intervention winemaking techniques.
Tasting Notes: Aromas of ripe peach give way to nuances of pineapple and brioche. The palate is multi-layered with ripe peach, crème caramel and underlying natural fermentation characteristics. Textural layers are supported by persistent mineral acidity.
Pairing: White meats, fish-based dishes, soft and hard cheeses. Pasta dishes like a carbonara, Caccio & Peppe.
