The winemaker, Adrien took over the estate from his grandfather in 2009. Made with grapes planted back in 1975 from the Grand Montmirail vineyard located high on the Dentelles de Montmirail where the soils are predominantly limestone marl and the temperature is about 1 degree cooler every 100 metres above the local village. The winemaker, Adrien took over the estate from his grandfather in 2009. Grapes are 100% de-stemmed and crushed with a gentle infusion to avoid high extract and any course elements. Aged solely in concrete tanks to showcase the wine's purity. tension and elegance.
Tasting Notes: On the nose black cherries, leather and earth with some liquorice, dried meat and pepper end notes. Medium to full-bodied, ripe black cherry and liquorice flavours show good richness over a backdrop of black raspberries, scorched earth, herbs du Provence, leather and spicy pepper.
Pairing: You can't go wrong with a rich, tasty lamb-based dish. Any dry aged meat or very tasty barbecued meat.
Alcohol Content: 13.5%
