Aglianico del Vulture Grifalco 2018

Grifalco's vineyards are planted on the slopes of Monte Vulture, an extinct volcano that contributes to the rich, mineral-laden soils. The winery cultivates its vineyards organically, following sustainable agricultural practices. The vineyards, situated at altitudes of 450-550 metres, benefit from volcanic soils that impart a distinct minerality to the wine. The wine is aged in a mix of French and American oak barrels for 6-12 months, contributing to its subtle complexity and smooth finish.

Tasting Notes: Notes of blackberry, black cherry, liquorice, and wild herbs. A well-balanced wine, with firm, sweet tannins and juicy acidity.
