White Wine

Biancolella, Forastera

Italy
The Story: Place, People & Purpose
Off the coast of Naples, in the volcanic hills of Ischia, Casa d’Ambra has been making wine since 1888—long before Amalfi became a hashtag. Fourth-generation winemaker Andrea d’Ambra works with indigenous varieties like Biancolella and Forastera, grown on steep terraces carved into ancient lava flows.
This Ischia Bianco is their flagship white—sun-kissed, sea-breezy, and bursting with island energy. It’s a true taste of Campania’s coastline, made for lazy lunches, seafood feasts, and that first sip after a swim.
Tasting Notes: What It Feels Like
Luminous straw yellow in the glass. The nose is delicate but distinctive—think lemon blossom, green melon, salty sea spray, and wild herbs. On the palate it’s light, bright and zesty with clean minerality, citrus peel, and a hint of almond on the finish. There’s no oak here—just freshness, precision, and a whisper of volcanic depth.
Perfect Pairings: Food & Feeling
Serve it with oysters, linguine alle vongole, grilled calamari, or anything that once swam in salt water. Ideal for Sunday lunches, picnics by the beach, or dinners where the only candlelight is from the setting sun. This wine is summer—bottled.
What Makes It Stand Out
Native grapes – Biancolella, Forastera, San Lunardo
Volcanic soils + coastal breezes = tension + salinity
No oak, no fluff, just freshness
Made by a 4th-generation family on a tiny island in the Gulf of Naples
Not all whites need to be buttery—this one is electric, seaside, and alive.
Alcohol: 12.5%
