Domaine du Gros Nore Bandol Rose 2022

This delightful wine is aged for 18 months in old wooden barrels – foudres – in French. Winemaker Alain focuses on ploughing and working the soil in the springtime. All grapes are then hand-harvested, sorted and brought to the winery. Here, the grapes are moved onto a vibrating table to remove unwanted material before being de-stemmed. The must of the rosé and white are cooled with the rosé spending 24 hours on skins before fermentation.

Tasting Notes: Being a blend of Mourvèdre, Grenache and Cinsault grapes, they bring together aromas of stone fruits including peach and nectarine as well as blood orange on the nose. On the palette, a beautiful roundness and persistence leave a delightful touch on the taste buds. 

Pairing: Incredibly versatile and food-friendly, this wine pairs beautifully with scallops, white fish, or a light tomato-based pasta. It’s the kind of wine the French might open on a late afternoon to enjoy while watching the sunset—truly the perfect aperitif! One of the best place in the world to leave.
