Why we chose this wine
At the heart of this wine is a promise: that when you give great fruit the time it needs, it speaks with quiet authority. ‘Igino’ 2015 is the Fasoli family’s tribute to time, legacy, and organic viticulture, a single-varietal Cabernet Sauvignon grown on hillside vineyards in Veneto, and crafted only in exceptional vintages.
Organically farmed, hand-harvested, and vinified with minimal intervention, the wine undergoes a long maceration and extended aging in oak, followed by years of bottle refinement before release. No rush. No compromise. Just the slow arc of craftsmanship.
Now perfectly mature, Igino 2015 opens with a deep, concentrated bouquet of blackcurrant, dried cherry, cedar, and tobacco, with undercurrents of dark cocoa, balsamic herbs, leather, and a whisper of eucalyptus. The palate is full and structured, yet silk-lined, showing polished tannins, seamless integration, and a finish that lingers with quiet power.
This is Cabernet made the old way, not to chase trend or trophy, but to last, evolve, and tell the story of a place and a philosophy.
Behind it is the Fasoli family, organic pioneers in the Veneto since 1984. Their vision isn’t just about what’s in the glass, but what’s under the soil and passed between generations.
Igino 2015 is a wine for contemplative meals, meaningful gifts, and cellars built with purpose.
