Le Coste is a newer Barolo created by Massimo Benevelli from a small vineyard close to his winery, family home, and his sister’s trattoria, where she prepares traditional local dishes. Unlike the bold, dense, and tannic Barolos Monforte d’Alba is known for, Le Coste stands out for its lightness and elegance.
Tasting Notes: Aroma is full-bodied with hints of rose, plum, tobacco, coffee, cinnamon and liquorice. The palate is full-bodied, fresh, balanced, persistent and complex.
Pairing: Typical hearty Italian dishes – think rich tomato-based pastas, gamey meats and grilled lamb.
Alcohol Content: 14.5%
