Why we chose this wine
Tucked just south of Burgundy, Beaujolais is often known for its reds but its whites feel like a quiet secret. Here, Chardonnay grows on gentle, sunlit hills near Lyon my city the natural gateway to this landscape you’ve always held close.
Beaujolais Blanc is made with a light, careful touch: pressed gently, fermented in a classic way, sometimes rested on its lees to bring a soft, rounded texture. Nothing excessive just balance, purity, and a quiet kind of charm.
In the glass, it opens with pear, citrus, and white flowers. On the palate, it’s smooth and lightly creamy, with a clean, lingering finish that feels effortless.
But more than the wine, it’s the place. Beaujolais is the region I grow up with, not just visit. A place where time stretches a little longer, where I spent so much of my younger years, and where there was always a neighbour dropping by bottle in hand, just sharing what they had and long afternoons with someone else dropping pass.
That’s the spirit of Beaujolais Blanc: understated, warm, and deeply human. A wine that doesn’t try too hard because it doesn’t need to.
