Why we chose this wine
This is a wine made for the table, structured, savoury and quietly confident. From Domaine Chaume-Arnaud in Vinsobres, the 2020 comes from high-altitude vineyards in the southern Rhône, where cooler nights bring freshness and balance to naturally powerful fruit.
Dark berries, black cherry and gentle spice lead the way, supported by firm but well-integrated tannins and a dry, grounding finish. There’s depth here, but also restraint, a wine that opens up beautifully alongside food rather than trying to impress on its own.
Behind the bottle, Chaume-Arnaud is a family-run estate farming organically and working with a low-intervention mindset, letting altitude and terroir shape the wine more than heavy cellar influence. It’s a serious Rhône red, but one that still feels generous, honest and very much at home on the table.
