Angela Fronti’s Istine wines are grown from a group of high-altitude small vineyards around the town of Radda, and one over the border in Gaiole. As a young winemaker, Fronti's approach is one with a non-interventionist style and a deep understanding of the region.
Tasting Notes: A warm wine with notes of balsamic, sour red cherry, fresh marjoram and smoked strawberries. Medium bodied with bright acidity and pressing but integrated tannins.
Pairing: Excellent with classic Italian dishes with red meat or ground game, hearty casseroles with cabbage and Mediterranean spices and risotto with mushrooms and truffle.
