Igino was the real name of the founder behind the Fasoli Gino winery. This wine is a dedication to his strength of character and personality. One of the Fasoli family’s traditions was to gather, regardless of commitments, for Sunday lunch. The men of the household would challenge each other to determine who would take on the ungrateful task of descending into the cold depths of the cellar to retrieve the wine. 'Igino' is conceived as that very wine, meant to be savoured during special moments of unity and conviviality.

Tasting Notes: On the nose, aromas of forest bouquet, plums, jam, spices, tobacco, black pepper, and eucalyptus. Intense, warm and delicately tannic, with a vinous and clean palate. The finish is sweet and firm, yet at the same time, elegant and spicy.

Pairing: Ideal with red-meat-based dishes, wildfowl, game and braised meats. It also matches perfectly with mature cheeses or fatty fish such as eel.
